Coopers Beach and nearby beaches are safe for swimming - or maybe you just want to chill out under the pohutukawa trees. Fishing, diving, snorkelling are all on your doorstep with boat ramps just minutes away at Mill Bay and Taipa.
Want to play golf? Whangaroa Golf Club is 20 minutes drive and Carrington Club is 35 minutes.
There are great cafes and restaurants nearby in Mangonui or you can have fabulous food and wine at Karikari Estate Winery opposite the Carrington Club.
In just 40 minutes drive to Ninety Mile Beach or Shipwreck Bay. While there visit the Okahu Estate Vineyard and Winery and sample some award winning wines from Northland.
